Aerial bundled conductors

B3 can supply two-core or four-core XLPE insulated bundles for single or three-phase supplies used primarily in overhead low-voltage distribution networks. These include BS 7870-5 cables, which are made of compacted, circular stranded aluminium, and black XLPE insulation.

B3 aerial bundled conductors are available in conductor gauge between 35mm² and 120mm², and some of these cables have an additional bare messenger.

Split concentric cable

B3 offers single-core and three-core split concentric cable for use on underground separate neutral and earth services, including BS 7870-3.21 stranded plain copper or solid aluminium conductors with cross-linked XLPE insulation, bare solid copper earth wires and insulated neutral wires applied helically around the insulation, with an overall black PVC or low-smoke zero-halogen sheath.

Plain concentric cable

B3 also offers single-core and three-core plain concentric cable for use on underground protective multiple earthed (PME) electrical services, including BS 7870-3.11 and 3.12 stranded plain copper or solid aluminium conductors with cross-linked XLPE insulation, bare solid copper earth wires applied helically around insulation, black PVC or low-smoke zero-halogen sheath.

Steel wire armoured power cables

Steel wire armoured (SWA) cables and halogen-free, fire-retardant SWA power cables are both suitable for use on indoor / outdoor and direct buried installations.

BS 5467 cable is a BASEC-approved stranded plain copper conductor with cross-linked insulation and PVC bedding with a single layer of galvanised mild steel wires for two, three or four cores and a black PVC sheath.

BS 6724 cable is a BASEC-approved stranded plain copper conductor of two, three or four cores with cross-linked XLPE insulation, a low smoke zero halogen bedding with a single layer of galvanised steel wires and a black low-smoke zero-halogen sheath.
