Switchboard rubber matting

Electrically resistant switchboard rubber matting is manufactured from a high-quality rubber compound to the most exacting standards. It is an essential safety product designed to protect life where there is exposure to live conductors.

Applications include permanent insulation to prevent danger from shock to persons employed in the generation, transformation, distribution or use of electrical energy. Switchboard rubber safety matting is the recommended safety floor covering for switchboards, sub-stations, transformers, generators and electrical work benches.

Rubber insulating shrouding

Rubber insulating shrouding can be used in many applications, including underground cable jointing, overhead conductors and link box maintenance to protect engineers working with live voltages up to 1,000V. It is supplied as transparent or orange neoprene insulating shrouding in 1mm and 1.6mm thickness.

1,000V insulated tools

Boddingtons Electrical has supplied fully insulated tools to electricity companies for over 25 years. Each tool is tested to 10,000V so you can be assured that all our insulated tools are of the highest quality as well as reliable and durable. These tools are sold individually or in customised insulated tool kits for use up to 1,000V. All Boddingtons Electrical insulated tools comply with EN60900 standard for insulated tools and are supplied marked with the 1,000V rating symbol.

Cable preparation tools

Boddingtons Electrical offers cable preparation stripping and jointing tools for the professional stripping of the outer sheath of low / medium / high-voltage cables.

Insulating rubber gloves

Boddingtons Electrical provides fully insulating electrical rubber gloves, each test stamped for working voltages ranging from 500V to 36,000V, and manufactured to EN60903.

Leather overgloves are worn over the insulating rubber gloves to protect against mechanical hazards and electrical arcing. Cotton undergloves give added comfort in warm and humid conditions, and are worn as a liner in the electrical rubber gloves.

The EN60903 and IEC903 standards advise visual inspection by inflation of the electrical rubber glove in order to detect air leaks. This can be carried out by the pneumatic rubber glove tester. We can also electrically re-test these rubber HV gloves to the EN60903 standard.

Plastic cable protection

Cable Guard is a plastic cable protection capping profile to protect cables on telegraph poles and walls. Boddingtons Electrical offers a wide range of high-quality plastic Cable Guard for the protection of vertical cable runs on telegraph poles, fences and walls.
