we are excited to announce that our company, Hanse Bereederung GmbH, through our usual in-house chartering activity for our Principal Columbia Ship Management, is now looking actively to expand its commercially managed fleet.

The vessels expansion we are studying at the moment will consist of containerships (Feedermax up to Panamax), Bulkers (Handies up to Kamsarmax) and moreover, Livestock Carriers and LNG.

After following the market very closely during the last months of disruption  we can say that shipping has the potential to become an increasingly popular funding target for alternative and private equity investors.   

Thereafter, we, as Hanse Bereederung, would be taking up the commercial handling of said assets and our parent company, Columbia Shipmanagement would also discuss taking up the technical management. This way the new owners and yourselves can rest assured that their assets will be in experienced hands.

It goes without saying that containerships would be our priority as our more than 30 years experience is mainly in the container ships segment even though through the years we also developed a much broader network in the market with contacts in Bulk, LNG and even in Livestock business.
