In 1999, ZF Marine took the strategic decision to expand the product portfolio to include controllable and fixed pitch propellers, as well as fixed and trimmable surface-drives. Already in 1999 a joint venture was established with FB Design to market the Trimax range of surface drives and Seaplanes trim-tabs, then in year 2000 the CPP design company Piening Marine Technic was purchased and another Joint Venture was established with the FPP manufacturer, Faster Propulsion System.



In particular, for the Commercial market, ZF Marine can now offer complete propulsion systems comprising transmission, torsional coupling, controllable pitch propeller with an integrated propulsion control system.
