Songa Offshore has provided its fleet status update for April 2012:

Songa Venus achieved an operating efficiency of 100% during the month. The rig continues to operate for Petronas Carigali in Malaysia.

Songa Mercur achieved an operating efficiency of 100% during the month. The rig continued to operate for Petronas Carigali in Malaysia until mid-month, and is currently located in sheltered waters outside Labuan, Malaysia undergoing scheduled light maintenance and inspections. The rig is actively marketed for onwards work, with a number of open tenders and direct negotiations ongoing.

Songa Dee completed its Statoil initiated upgrade yard stay and resumed operations under the 5 year contract on the Gullfaks field. The rig achieved an operating efficiency of 91% during the month.

Songa Delta achieved an operating efficiency of 95% during the month, operating under the Wintershall / Det Norske Oljeselskap contract.

Songa Trym achieved an operating efficiency of 98% during the month operating for Statoil at the Troll field.

Songa Eclipse carried out top hole drilling at reduced rate for Total E&P Angola during the majority of the month and achieved an operating efficiency of 95% during the operational part of the month. The earlier reported BOP reassembly and testing were completed in parallel of drilling top holes, and last portion of acceptance testing resumed at end of April. The acceptance testing has since progressed in accordance with schedule except for about 3 days of delay caused by a now resolved local labour dispute. The extensive testing program is estimated to be 100% completed within the next few days, the rig will thereafter commence its one well plus 18 month contract with Total E&P Angola under full contractual terms.
