EPA extends work approval for 168MW gas-fired power plant

The Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) has extended the work approval for a new power station, being developed by Eneabba Gas in Western Australia, until 20 December 2015.

The company plans to build the 168MW gas-fired Centauri I power station near Dongara.

Eneabba Gas is currently assessing development options including possible joint venture agreements to build the plant.

The plant is expected to offset 30.5MW of carbon emissions.
