GE and China Huadian establish JV in China


 

GE and China Huadian have formed a joint venture company with an investment of $100m to develop distributed energy combined heat and power projects in China.

China Huadian will hold the majority stake in the new company Huadian GE Aero Gas Turbine Equipment Co.

The company will accelerate growth opportunities for GE in the aeroderivative gas turbines sector in China.

GE Power & Water president and CEO for aeroderivative gas turbines Darryl Wilson said the joint venture will help China meet its need for more than 1,000 distributed energy combined heat and power plants in the next ten years.
