Kenya Electricity Transmission plans to construct new power transmission lines and sub stations worth KES22.5 ($244m) in Nairobi, Kenya.
The Nairobi transmission ring project is expected to be completed in two phases with the first phase to be funded by the European Investment Bank and the African Development Bank.
The first phase of the project - expected to begin next year - involves the construction of two high voltage sub-stations in Ngong and Suswa.
The second phase of the project involves an extension of Isinya line to a substation at Komarock and another one from Suswa to Ngong, which is expected to be completed in 2015.
