Nexans wins equipment supply contract from Statoil

Nexans has won a €75m contract from Statoil to supply equipment for the Asgard oil and gas field located in the Norwegian Sea.

Under the terms of the contract, Nexans will design, manufacture and supply 165km of static and dynamic power umbilical and power cables as well as necessary accessories for the field.

Nexans will supply four lengths of power cable and power umbilical measuring 40km long, two lengths of dynamic power umbilical and 2.3km of standard service umbilical cable.

The Asgard oil and gas field delivers around 28 billion cubic meters of gas and 14m barrels of condensate.
