Norway: ConocoPhillips Receives Approval to Use COSLRigmar at Eldfisk

ConocoPhillips Skandinavia AS has received consent to use the mobile living quarters facility COSLRigmar at Eldfisk 2/7 FTP. The consent relates to the period from 1 June 2011 to 1 July 2015.

COSLRigmar (formerly Port Rigmar) will be moored to the southeast of Eldfisk 2/7 FTP, with a gangway connection to that facility.

COSLRigmar (pictured) is a mobile living quarters facility (jack-up) of an ETA Robroy 300-design.  It was commissioned at Robin Shipyard in Singapore in 1979, originally equipped as a drilling facility. It was converted into a living quarters facility in 1991.  The facility is registered in the Bahamas, with Det norske Veritas as classification society.

COSLRigmar can accommodate 320 people.  The facility is owned and operated by COSL Drilling Europe AS, which has offices in Stavanger.
