Divers from the Italian company Titan Micoperi’s team have been working to prepare for the next installations, in order to be ready to proceed with the planned operations as soon as the necessary authorizations arrive.
Costa Crociere and Titan Micoperi said last week that a request for the installation of the only sponson S12 had been withdrawn on Tuesday, April 29 and that, at the same time, a confirmation of the request for authorization of the installation of the total of 18 sponsons still to be positioned (including S12), had been sent to the Observatory.
“Costa Crociere and Titan Micoperi are working to provide some further documents regarding environmental aspects related to transportation options different from traditional towing, as requested by the Observatory,” a press release of the Parbuckling project team read.
