In January-May 2011, State Oil Company of Azerbaijan exported 2.066bn cubic meters of natural gas, according to sources in the company.Export of gas was at 293.3m cubic meters
in January, 355.5m cubic meters in February, 363.6m cubic meters in March, 305.3m cubic meters in April, 209.1m cubic meters in May, 150.3m cubic meters in June, 117.9m cubic meters in July, 96m cubic meters in August and 175.9m cubic meters in September.
Compared to the same period of last year, gas export went up by 1.6 times or 777m cubic meters.
Azerbaijan exports gas to Russia, Georgia and also supplies gas to Nakhchivan via Iran.
