Suzlon Energy to Supply S95 Wind Turbines to Orient Green

Suzlon Energy has secured a contract worth INR6.5bn ($1.45bn) to supply wind turbines to more than 100MW of wind projects to be developed by Orient Green Power in India.

Under the contract Suzlon will supply 48 S95 wind turbines, which are a part its newly introduced S9X suite.

The plants will be commissioned by the middle of 2012, with 50.4MW of capacity in Gujarat to start operations by May 2012, and the remaining 50.4MW in Karnataka to commence operations by June 2012.
