Tata BP Constructs a 1MW Solar Plant in India


Tata BP Solar India has installed and commissioned a 1MW solar plant in Tamil Nadu, India, which will supply power to the grid lines of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board for a 25-year period.

The engineering, procurement and construction contractor Tata BP installed 4,400 crystalline silicon modules of 230W each in the plant, which is owned and developed by B&G Solar.

The plant, spread over 5.5 acres, is capable of generating 1.49 million units of electricity annually.

Tata BP Solar India is a joint venture of Tata Power and BP Solar.
