Tidework Installs Terminal Operating System in Ohio Port

CSX Intermodal Terminals (CSX) has installed Tideworks' terminal operating system (TOS) at its new Northwest Ohio intermodal terminal (NWOH).
The TOS helps the terminal in maximsing automation and productivity as well as create an efficient, cost-effective and fully-integrated transfer point.

The CSX facility is equipped with efficient electric cranes that lower emissions, optical scanners that reduce truck idle times, and automated car tracking technologies and remote switches that increase operational efficiency.

The system helps NWOH to manage container and railcar inventory, container stacking, coordination of truck activities, and control of complex container movements, including the rail-to-rail transfer of containers.

The TOS solution deployed at NWOH includes Tideworks' Intermodal Pro terminal operating system, the traffic control move dispatch and equipment control module, and Tideworks' new system integration module (SIM).
