USC orders two PSVs at Baltic Shipyard

Russia's United Shipbuilding (USC) has ordered a pair of platform supply vessels at St Petersburg-based Baltic Shipyard.

The company said that the vessels will be built for Russian energy firm Gazprom.

The 5,400dwt supply vessels, which will have ice class Arc4, will cost $100m each.

Currently, the company is implementing a crisis management plan for Baltic Shipyard on behalf of the Central Bank of Russia.

Baltic Shipyard specialises in the construction of diesel and nuclear-powered icebreakers, ice-class vessels, Ro-Ro and Ro-Pax ships, heavy lift vessels and warships.
